Types of Midwives

There are several types of midwives who can legally practice in Utah.

  • Licensed Direct Entry Midwives (LDEM)
  • Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)
  • Direct Entry Midwife/Traditional Midwife (DEM)
  • Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
